In the rush (and joy) of these weeks of Christmas and New Years, it’s easy to start wishing for the year to be over already so it can take away with it all the bad things that happened in 2016. A lot of the time we end up forgetting to stop and think back on all the good things that the last twelve months brought us, so in today’s video I wanted to share an exercise that helps you face the holidays with a grateful heart.
Surprise! I decided the time has come for me to do the first giveaway of MissMatchy 2.0 to thank you for all your support this far. It may not seem like much, but every little comment or like or even just a visit you pay me here on the blog means a lot to me and encourages me to keep going.
A couple of years ago my mum decided to throw a Thanksgiving lunch even though it’s not really a holiday we celebrate here in Australia or even in Brazil. Before eating, we went around the table and everyone said one thing they were grateful for. I scanned my very long mental list, and while there were many things I could have said, I ended up settling for “I’m thankful for changes, and for knowing that nothing ever stays the same”.
It’s funny how hosting a giveaway is exciting even to me. Just like everyone who’s entered, I too get anxious to find out who’s won. I’m the worst at it, actually, because every single time someone entered the giveaway, I genuinely thought “ooh, I hope she wins! She really deserves this!” Sadly, there must only be one winner.
