The Pink Bomber Edit

[EM PORTUGUÊS]

A little while back no fashionista would ever be caught dead pairing sneakers with skirts or wearing sportswear to dinner. Oh, how times have changed! The sports luxe trend is one of the biggest this season and a lot of people are in love with it. For a super stylish way of adapting it to your everyday life, there are two items you must add to your wardrobe: the sneaker and the bomber. We’re focusing on the jacket today.

Welcome Back!

[EM PORTUGUÊS]

A couple of years ago my mum decided to throw a Thanksgiving lunch even though it’s not really a holiday we celebrate here in Australia or even in Brazil. Before eating, we went around the table and everyone said one thing they were grateful for. I scanned my very long mental list, and while there were many things I could have said, I ended up settling for “I’m thankful for changes, and for knowing that nothing ever stays the same”.

Deciding what to wear to the Topshop Emporium launch was a little difficult, I admit. It was the first event I was invited to as a real blogger, so of course I wanted to make a good impression. I had planned a completely different outfit, but just before going to bed on Wednesday night, the little fox on this French Connection t-shirt smiled at me and all of a sudden I knew what I should wear. The tricky thing was putting together something that was very Topshop and yet very me at the same time. You’d think it’d be easier,  considering that a third of my wardrobe is made up of Topshop pieces, but no. In a situation like this you’d want to fit in, while still standing out and showcasing your personal style. As a said, tricky. Luckily, I ended up loving what I was wearing and feeling super comfortable in it, which really is the most important thing. You’ll never feel confident enough if you’re wearing something uncomfortable.

Last Thursday the boyfriend and I celebrated four years together. Going through pictures of our previous anniversaries I noticed that in all of them I wear an uniform of sorts: jeans, boots, a knit and/or a leather jacket. Turns out this year was no exception, because once again we decided to drive to somewhere pretty where we could just be together and appreciate each other’s company. Lavandula Lavender Farm in Daylesford is a beautiful place for a romantic picnic like ours and the weather was simply perfect. Autumn is truly the best… Even though it is no longer lavender season and the only ones I saw were in the many lavender-flavoured foods on offer. Their lavender lemonade was heavenly! I hope to be back soon so I can see the gardens blooming.

I’d planned a completely different outfit beforehand, but I guess it was just one of those days when I needed a more casual, laid-back look… So I changed out of my clothes when I was just about to leave my house. Minus the heels, this is something I actually wear to uni a lot. Either way, I felt really good with what I was wearing, probably because the feeling we were celebrating was way more important than any clothing. I really can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this amazing man! <3
