I’ve been a little MIA over the past few weeks, and while I hate that I’ve slacked off, it did give me time to rethink a few things. One of them is that I want to start releasing new videos every Wednesday instead, because as you’ve probably noticed, Fridays haven’t been working well for me.
Once upon a time – and by once upon a time I mean up until last December, when I took these pictures – this was my favourite dress. There has never been another piece of clothing in my wardrobe I cherished more. Whenever I needed a little pick-me-up, felt happy and wanted to celebrate, or just wanted to feel pretty, I’d wear my “pony dress”. If you walked past the store I used to work at on a day when I had it on, I’m sure you’d spot me mindlessly petting the fluffy horses.
As I’ve mentioned before, Lady Petrova made the move into bridal wear earlier this year. The Melbourne designer closed down her Flinders Lane boutique where she stocked various labels as well as her own and set up a new home in the iconic Nicholas Building. This past July she released her first ever ready-to-wear bridal collection, “As You Wish”.
As I mentioned last week, my love for the pink bomber was born on the day I tried on Valfré’s Mermaid jacket at Lady Petrova. Wearing it felt like a magical hug and though I fell head over heels for it, I was there to buy a dress I’d had my eye on forever so I ended up leaving the bomber behind. A week later it was sold out and I really regretted not buying it, so I started looking for an alternative.
